How marriage counseling works
What happens in marriage counseling? Who goes to the appointments? Do both people go together, or separately? What questions will be asked? How do these questions help? What if you don’t know the answer? What if you don’t want to say the answer? What makes a marriage improve? What if both people don’t want the same thing? What if you're not good at communicating?
All these questions will be answered as you learn how marriage counseling works. You’ll learn what
happens step-by-step. And you'll learn how taking those steps can help you improve your relationship.
Marriage counseling 101
How does marriage counseling work? What are the theories and methods that will be used? What are the steps involved in marriage counseling? How does it begin? How does it end? How long does it take? How will you know when it’s working? Which theories apply to you? Which methods would be best for you? Is it the same for everyone?
No. It’s not the same for everyone. In this workshop you will learn the different theories and methods that we use, and how we select the ones that are best for you. You’ll also learn the steps involved in marriage counseling and the stages of progress that you can expect.
Ask the marriage counselors
You probably have a lot of questions you’d like to ask a marriage counselor. This workshop is your opportunity to do that. We will answer any of your questions about marriage counseling. Or about relationships. Our about our approach to counseling. As well as asking questions yourself, you may be surprised how much you can learn from other people’s questions also.
This workshop is for “everything you always wanted to ask a marriage counselor." Please feel free to come with questions to ask. Or just listen to the discussion. Whichever you would prefer.
